WordPress 3.5 – The good and the bad

The latest stable WordPress version, named after the famous jazzman Elvin Jones is finally available for download. The star of the show is named “Media Manager” – the completely revamped tool for adding multimedia and organising it into galleries is both the best and the worst thing in the latest WordPress release.

We have just released the new version of our Joomla security plugin jHackGuard! This is the piece of software we have created several years ago and which makes all the Joomlas installed by SiteGround much safer. The new jHackGuard version introduces several brand new security filters as well as few improvements in the existing functionality.
Today Joomla! has launched a new version of its software – 2.5. As some of you may guess from the number 2.5, this new version is considered a major release and marks the end of a whole cycle for Joomla. So, we took some time to test and review the new Joomla and see how it will work on our servers. The good news is that it is fully compatible and we can say for sure that it works on our hosting accounts flawlessly!
